Colours of Onam Brighten Udaya Campus

The school celebrated Onam with great joy and enthusiasm on 29th August 2025. The program was held soon after the completion of the First Term Examination. As part of the celebration, a Pookalam competition was conducted for the students. The Lower Primary students showcased their creativity by designing Pookalams on A4 sheets, while the Upper Primary and High School students took part in an energetic house-wise Pookalam competition. The four houses of the school displayed colorful and attractive floral designs, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and festivity. The celebration not only highlighted the artistic talents of the students but also helped them to cherish the cultural heritage of Kerala. With the conclusion of the day’s events, the school closed for Onam holidays, which will last for a week. Classes will resume after the holidays.

Freedom, Unity, and Celebration: 79th Independence Day

The school celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15 August 2025 with great patriotic fervor and enthusiasm. The celebration began at 9:00 am on the school ground with the presence of students, staff, and management. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Havaldar Shivarama N., Retired Army Personnel, who was warmly welcomed by Hiba. The programme was compered by Ayshath Fidha and Simin Fathima. Nafeesath Tamiha highlighted the significance of the day, reminding everyone of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the value of independence. The event, based on the topic General Science, witnessed enthusiastic participation from all four houses. With rounds that tested speed, accuracy, and depth of understanding, the competition turned into a thrilling showcase of teamwork and scientific knowledge. Field Trip to "Kadambar Manne" – A Hands-On Learning Experience in the Paddy Fields

Udaya Higher Secondary School organized an enriching field trip for students of Classes 2, 3, 4, and 5 to Kadambar Manne on 31st of July. The visit offered the young learners a first-hand experience of traditional farming practices and rural life. Accompanied by their teachers, the students eagerly explored the lush paddy fields, where they observed live demonstrations of ploughing and paddy planting. The children were fascinated by the process and showed great enthusiasm in learning how rice is cultivated from the very beginning. The field trip not only enhanced their understanding of agriculture but also helped them appreciate the hard work of farmers.
