Veeranjali – A Heartfelt Tribute by Little Patriots of Udaya










Udaya Higher Secondary School, Hosangadi, Manjeshwar, paid a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers of India through a special programme titled “Veeranjali – A Tribute to the Brave”, held on 25th July 2025 at 2:00 pm in the school auditorium. The event was organized and presented by the Lower Primary students and witnessed an overwhelming participation of students, teachers, and parents, all immersed in great patriotic fervour.

The Master of Ceremony was Fiya Selma, who gracefully led the event. The Welcome Speech was delivered by Ibrahim Shammas Aahil, warmly greeting the Chief Guest and gathering. The Significance of the Day was highlighted by Aboobacker Fizan and Aysha, who eloquently expressed the importance of honouring our nation's heroes. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mohammed Assaf and Farnaz Yasmin, appreciating everyone who contributed to the success of the programme.

The Chief Guest, Commander K. Vijayakumar, a retired officer of the Indian Navy (1975–1998), shared his firsthand experience of the Kargil war scenario, deeply moving the students. He emphasized the immense courage and unwavering dedication of Indian soldiers who protect the nation's borders in the harshest of conditions.

In his address, Principal Mr. Jerald Ivan Crasta underscored the need to remember and honour the sacrifices of our soldiers. He urged students to remain aware of their invaluable service and to cultivate a deep sense of patriotism and gratitude.

Rev. Fr Santhosh Dsouza, the Campus Director, motivated the students to imbibe values such as commitment and dedication — qualities essential not only for academic growth but also to become responsible citizens.

The highlight of the programme was a vibrant array of cultural performances by the Lower Primary students, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits — all reflecting their heartfelt respect and admiration for the Indian Armed Forces.

The event beautifully echoed the theme, “Saluting the Spirit of Service and Courage,” leaving a lasting impact on the hearts of all present.
