Kindness in Every Beat — Heart Day at Udaya


Udaya Higher Secondary School, Manjeshwar, celebrated Heart Day on 8th October 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy. The celebration was organized by the Kindergarten students, who beautifully connected the theme of Heart Day with love, kindness, and generosity.

The programme began with a warm welcome by the KG teachers, followed by a series of delightful presentations by the little ones. The students proudly introduced their parents by showing their family photographs, emphasizing that love begins at home. They also presented short performances showing how different people in society express love and care—portraying roles such as soldiers, policemen, engineers, and teachers, who all serve society with dedication and compassion.

Adding to the charm of the event, the students performed dances based on the theme of love, spreading a message of unity and kindness through their innocent expressions.

In his address, Campus Director Rev. Fr. Santhosh Dsouza highlighted that the heart is a symbol of love and kindness, and encouraged students to reflect these virtues in their daily lives, especially towards their parents and teachers.

Principal Mr. Jerald Ivan Crasta, in his inspiring speech, remarked that while science teaches us that the heart protects our body, the students have beautifully demonstrated that it also holds values—being kind, loving, and generous towards others.

The event was graced by the PTA Vice President, who appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for organizing such a meaningful celebration.

The Heart Day Celebration by the KG students was a heartwarming and value-filled event that reminded everyone present of the importance of nurturing love, kindness, and compassion in everyday life.

The school celebrated Onam with great joy and enthusiasm on 29th August 2025. The program was held soon after the completion of the First Term Examination. As part of the celebration, a Pookalam competition was conducted for the students. The Lower Primary students showcased their creativity by designing Pookalams on A4 sheets, while the Upper Primary and High School students took part in an energetic house-wise Pookalam competition. The four houses of the school displayed colorful and attractive floral designs, reflecting the spirit of teamwork and festivity. With the conclusion of the day’s events, the school closed for Onam holidays, which will last for a week. Classes will resume after the holidays.

Udaya Higher Secondary School Celebrates Award Day

The school celebrated its Award Day with great enthusiasm on January 31, 2026. The programme recognised students for their academic excellence and achievements in sports. Awards were presented to four students Alwin Sijo, Ansar Athiz, Ashika, and Shifa for securing A+ grades in the 2024–2025 academic year in 10 std kerela state exam. In addition, eight students were honoured for their outstanding performance at the State Level Softball Tournament. As well as students were honoured who received A+ grade in Kalolsavam and Sasthrolsavam competition. The Chief Guest, Mrs Sylvia Monteiro, Headmistress of GLPS Vamanjoor, addressed the gathering and encouraged students to set clear goals in life and work hard to achieve them. The vibrant campus of Udaya Higher Secondary School, Manjeshwar, came alive with colours, music, and creativity as the much-awaited School Kalolsavam 2025 unfolded on October 04, 2025. The event was inaugurated by the Principal, Mr. Jerald Ivan Crasta, who officially declared the Kalolsavam open with an inspiring message.
