Fire and Safety Awareness Programme Held at Udaya English Medium School


School organised a Fire and Safety Awareness Programme on 20th January 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in the school auditorium with the aim of educating students and staff about fire safety and emergency response.
The programme was guided by Shri Athul B R, Fire & Rescue Officer, who shared valuable knowledge on fire prevention, safety measures, and rescue techniques during emergencies.
The programme began with a warm welcome address by the Principal, Mr. Jerald Ivan Crasta, who highlighted the importance of safety awareness in daily life and appreciated the efforts of the Fire and Rescue Department for guiding the students.
During the session, the officer conducted live demonstration sessions, explaining the correct use of fire extinguishers, basic fire control methods, and safety precautions to be followed during fire accidents. A special demonstration was given on CRP (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) to help people during medical emergencies.
One of the most informative demonstrations was the rescue operation for choking, where the officer explained and showed how to help a person when food is stuck in the throat while eating. The students and teachers observed the demonstration with great interest and learned important life-saving techniques.
The programme was interactive and educational, creating strong awareness among students about fire safety, emergency response, and first aid measures.
At the end of the programme, Mr. Sanil Kumar delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Fire & Rescue Officer, the school management, teachers, and students for making the programme a grand success.
The Fire and Safety Awareness Programme was highly beneficial and left a lasting impact on everyone present.

The school celebrated Onam with great joy and enthusiasm on 29th August 2025. The program was held soon after the completion of the First Term Examination. As part of the celebration, a Pookalam competition was conducted for the students. The Lower Primary students showcased their creativity by designing Pookalams on A4 sheets, while the Upper Primary and High School students took part in an energetic house-wise Pookalam competition. Udaya Higher Secondary School Celebrates Award Day

The school celebrated its Award Day with great enthusiasm on January 31, 2026. The programme recognised students for their academic excellence and achievements in sports. Awards were presented to four students Alwin Sijo, Ansar Athiz, Ashika, and Shifa for securing A+ grades in the 2024–2025 academic year in 10 std kerela state exam. In addition, eight students were honoured for their outstanding performance at the State Level Softball Tournament. As well as students were honoured who received A+ grade in Kalolsavam and Sasthrolsavam competition. The vibrant campus of Udaya Higher Secondary School, Manjeshwar, came alive with colours, music, and creativity as the much-awaited School Kalolsavam 2025 unfolded on October 04, 2025.
